Green River Filtration Facility supplies filtered drinking water to the city of Tacoma and surrounding areas.  This plant is designed to remove sediment and biological agents from the water using ozone, chemical and media filtration. Hawk mechanical furnished and installed approximately 6,660 LF of buried AWWA C200 piping, ranging in diameters of 108”, 84”, 72”, 54”, 48”, 42” and 36”.  Excavations ranged from depths of 12’ deep to 26’ deep with all field connections being welded in place.  Piping was installed using 240 ton crawler lattice cranes.
